Officiants

Curated officiants for intimate ceremonies across Hawai’i

O’ahu

Just a heads up — the photos on this page are sourced directly from each officiant's media and aren't taken by us. All images belong to their respective owners.

Kelehua Kawai

Kelehua was born and raised in Hawaiʻi. With thousands of ceremonies performed across the Islands, from barefoot beach elopements to helicopter ceremonies above volcanic peaks, she brings a cultural depth and warmth that can't be imported.

She'll weave Hawaiian tradition authentically into your ceremony alongside your own cultural, spiritual, or religious customs, creating something that feels genuinely yours rather than off a script.

She also offers live ʻukulele music, hula, and cocktail hour entertainment — so if you want every detail to feel cohesive and Island-inspired, she can make that happen too.

aka Marry Me Hawaii

Reverend James Chun

aka Oahu Minister

Rev. James Chun brings something most officiants can't — 15 years behind a camera before ever stepping in front of a ceremony. Born in China and raised in Hawaiʻi since age five, he understands timing, presence, and how to hold a space so the focus stays exactly where it belongs: on you.

With over two decades of experience, a background in TV and film acting, and preferred status at Oʻahu's top venues, James has been trusted by thousands of couples to make their ceremony feel effortless and real. He'll handle every detail — from the marriage license process to stepping aside at just the right moment for your first kiss photo.

Nicole

aka Oahu Officiant

Nicole got her start by marrying her dad. She got ordained to officiate his dream ceremony at San Francisco's Sutro Baths and never stopped. Now based on Oʻahu, she brings a Master of Divinity and a background in medieval folklore to the craft, which means she knows exactly how to build a ceremony with real narrative weight.

She doesn't do scripts, and she doesn't lean on Hawaiian tradition for its own sake. Every ceremony is written from scratch, built entirely around your story, for couples who want their vows actually to sound like them.

Grant Gomes

Grant Gomez was born and raised on Oʻahu, and that ease shows in everything he does. He's known for bringing a relaxed, warm presence to every ceremony — the kind that puts couples and their guests immediately at ease.

Grant takes the time to learn your story and weave in Hawaiian elements that feel natural and personal, creating a ceremony that's simple, meaningful, and genuinely yours.

Hoku Pacific Officiants

Most officiant companies give you one person. Hoku Pacific gives you three ordained ministers, each bringing something different to the table.

Rev. Darren Ho holds a Master's in English Literature and two decades of ministry — he understands the weight of words better than most. Rev. Max Fowler brings theology degrees from both Hawaii and Cambridge. Rev. Partner Akiona is a Native Hawaiian who weaves the Hawaiian language into every ceremony, rooted in a decade of serving Oʻahu's families and communities.

Every ceremony includes a traditional lei ceremony, ring blessing, custom or traditional vows, Hawaiian shell and kukui lei keepsakes, a commemorative marriage certificate, and full marriage license processing — so you can be fully present on your day without worrying about the details.

Anthony Galang

aka Aloha Weddings

Anthony Galang has been officiating weddings since 1990, and has been married to his best friend since 1989. That's not a coincidence. For Anthony, marriage isn't just a ceremony he performs; it's something he studies, lives, and deeply believes in.

With a degree from UC Berkeley, a Master's in Ministry Leadership, and certifications in marriage preparation and dynamics, he brings a depth of understanding to the altar that most officiants simply don't have.

Born in the Philippines, raised in California, and now proudly calling Oʻahu home — he has officiated ceremonies across the U.S. and internationally, for couples from every background and walk of life.
